HSR Men’s Club Tournament Policies & Procedures

Posting Scores

  • All scores must be posted the same day, or you will be disqualified from winning any pro shop credit. (The new handicap system updates daily)
  • All major events will be posted by the committee through Golf Genius
  • All match play events still require scores to be posted (most likely score)

Suspensions:

  • Anyone without a valid reason who doesn’t show for a Men’s Club event or outside event for HSR with scheduled tee times, will be suspended from playing in that event the following year.
  • EXCEPTION: Anyone who doesn’t show for a match in the club championship without a valid reason (injury, family emergency, death) will be suspended from ALL major events for one year up to and including the Club Championship the following year.
  • Major events that the suspension will apply to are:
  1. Mastroni Championship
  2. Member-Member
  3. Sr. Club Championship
  4. Club Championship
  5. Shoreline/Districts
  6. Member/Guest

Disqualifications:

  • Per the USGA rule, all incorrect scorecards where the player signs for a lower than actual score will result in a disqualification. If they sign for a higher than actual score, they are stuck with that score. No exceptions.
  • All score sheets for the weekend events will be treated as signed scorecards so make sure you double check after posting hole-by-hole scores.
  • Remember, you are only responsible for the accuracy of each individual hole – not the total math.

Minimum Rounds:

  • Must have at least 5 rounds posted at HSR for the Member/Member
  • Must have at least 8 rounds posted at HSR for the Club Championship
  • NO EXCEPTIONS

Handicaps:

  • All players are expected to keep an accurate handicap.
  • The handicap committee reserves the right to adjust any players handicap that is believed to be inaccurate.
